VEILS OF PEARLY LINEN RENT

Auguries of Salient Moment

Veils of pearly linen rent;
Bleak conical yesteryears recede.
A tattered anaconda in a new blue tent;
Metrification of the millipede.

If God's a sod, the Devil's dishevelled.
Angels of light  know the plight of the night.
Fraying rope is how men cope.
A master's gate built for a dog
Predicts the ruin of the catalogue.
Neither rain nor ants nor sorrow;
The future will be better tomorrow.

Deliver me avast on a thread of longing;
I’II sing my song and sing it songing.
A finch in a net is a vet’s regret.
Horsing bleary is the farmer’s query.
A rebel who rebels without a cause
Ends up a cause for sideshow whores.

Lawn bowls for unpaid sinners;
Ten pin bowling for grinners and winners.
Majestic thrip devour the once lovely rose.
The dog in a bloodhound is nine parts a nose.
Crocking fires warm dark spaces
But icy lairs are icy places.

Grim harbingers creep out the many coloured dawn.
Ten tall terrorists in a white Toyota
Are mother’s sons but devil’s spawn.
Men with guns are mother’s sons.
Dangerous dudes have attitudes.
Men with ambition doesn’t ask permission.

Ours is an age of strange reprise
And strange things hidden from the stranger’s eyes. Bacon and Newton made a big mistake
Becoming enemies of William Blake.

Late night strippers need foolproof zippers.
Gripping goodbyes betray the day
Come what who or come what may;
Scaffolds of iron fly me away.

Lovers false will dance and waltz.
Lovers true will rendevous.
Troubled waters under a troubled bridge
Give Elenor Rigby an elegant ridge.
Fingers crossed are paradise lost.

Gloomy haybands flirt my wangle.
Olden fashioned or newerfangled
Monday nights are sad and mangled.
The dangles of doom are doomed to dating
And dreary nights of copulating.

.
Popes and kings; crowns and rings.
A plastic Jesus; hell soon freezes.
A hail Mary quick for the pale and the sick.
A wish and a prayer is a bird in the air.

Revelation is like the wings on a plane.
Revelation reveals like the rain rains rain.
The Lord is one; so is His Name.
The Lord is lordy! Thus the refrain.
